Yes, OAuth authentication is fully supported by Read Receipts. To switch from API Token authentication to OAuth, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Log in to Zendesk using a Zendesk Administrator account. Then open the My Read Receipts app from the left-hand navigation panel (see the first screenshot below).
Step 2: Click the Authorize Zendesk button (see the second screenshot below). You will be prompted to sign in using your Zendesk Administrator account. Once authentication is complete, the app will automatically switch to OAuth authentication and will no longer use API token credentials.
That’s it! No additional configuration is required.
