My Read Receipts provide the ability for our users to automatically tag unread tickets in order to create powerful views & automation. If you are on a free trial this is automatically enabled by default.
If you are using our legacy system prior to its upgrade to v2 you need to do the following:
Once you activate unread ticket tagging, you will need to add an additional action to the Notify requester of comment updated trigger to add a tag named: mrr-unread
Once you add that action the mrr-unread tag will be added to the requester's ticket when the Notify requester of comment trigger is triggered. When a read receipt is triggered My Read Receipts will remove the mrr-unread tag from that ticket.
PLEASE NOTE: We will only remove the mrr-unread tag. All the other tags your organization is using will not be affected.
You can use the following links to turn the feature on/off.
Replace MY-ZENDESK-SUBDOMAIN which is MY-ZENDESK-SUBDOMAIN.zendesk.com with your own company's subdomain. For example, if you look at our link for the help center you will see that our subdomain is myreadreceipts and the URL in the browser is:
Our subdomain is 'myreadreceipts'. Please replace your subdomain accordingly.
