My Read Receipts has two methods for making sure a read receipt is not accidentally generated by an agent.
- Our app automatically excludes your agent's IP address from accidentally triggering a pixel fire once the agent logs into their Zendesk instance.
- If you click on:
where your subdomain is your Zendesk instance's subdomain we place a cookie on that device to prevent an accidental read receipt.
Read receipts will only be generated when an email is opened from:
- An IP address outside of your network or if you have virtual agents outside of their IP network.
- An IP address that from #1 as long as the device you are testing with was not cookied by the above link.
